The Green Cotton concept originated in Denmark in 1986 as an answer to the high burden of chemicals used in the textile industry. Green Cotton knits are the products of organic or sustainable cotton cultivation and an environmentally exacting manufacturing process, fully certified under ISO 14001, and compliant with the European Union’s Eco-Management and Audit Scheme. Green Cotton products contain no pesticide residues or harmful chemicals. Green Cotton supports eco-labeling for consumer choice, and is committed to developing and marketing socially sustainable products.
